Your role in the story:

We are seeking an experienced freelance HR Advisor for at least 4 months to join us in achieving our HR goal to further develop the department to a more strategic partner in business. As a member of the HR department, you will play a key role in helping to build our learning organization, centered around our people and our founder's mentality.

What you will be working on:

The Human Resources department plays a crucial role in enabling our organization to achieve the extraordinary offshore. You will collaborate with three HR Business Partners, colleagues from HR Operations (HR Services, Compensation & Benefits, and Case Management), and the Learning, Culture & Organization teams (Recruitment, People Development, and Organization Development).

As an HR Advisor, your main responsibilities will involve providing support to our HR Business Partners through various operational and tactical tasks. Your key activities will include:

Operational Support:

• Addressing inquiries from various departments regarding leave types, contracts, employer arrangements, and employee responsibilities.
• Drafting settlement agreements and calculating transition compensations.

Communication and Coordination:

• Managing communications related to contract extensions.
• Updating the vacancy board list every Monday to ensure job postings are current.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Preparing headcount reports to assist in strategic HR planning.
• Reviewing and verifying letters for accuracy and compliance.

Meeting Participation and Administrative Tasks:

• Attending HRBP meetings to stay informed and contribute insights.
• Providing general administrative support to ensure smooth HR operations.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a Freelance HR Advisor in a dynamic environment. You are action-oriented and eager to get things done. You will be a reliable discussion and business partner for our internal clients and HR colleagues, with comprehensive knowledge of topics from hiring to retiring. You possess excellent active listening skills and thrive in a team-oriented, ever-changing environment.
Additionally, you have:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources Management or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience as an HR Advisor in a high-performance, changing international environment, preferably in the offshore or maritime sector.
• Broad and general HR knowledge and experience in areas such as Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, and Strategic Workforce Planning.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and a drive for innovation.
• Immediate availability for 32-40 hours per week, with a preference for working at least 3 days from our HQ office in Leiden -> availability during the holiday period starting from July 29th is essential to maintain continuous support within the HR department.
• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
