Vacature Manager

Needs: Temporary role to support the growth of engagement and participation on the Power to Voices platform. The consultant will play a crucial role in fostering a vibrant and inclusive community on the Power to Voices platform. This role requires someone with experience in community engagement and passion for social activism.

Key Tasks

• Engagement strategy:
  • Develop and implement an engagement strategy to increase user participation and engagement on the platform.
  • Develop plans to strategically grow the community, including outreach to potential partners/organizations and movements.

• Community Interaction:
  • Moderate and actively participate in community discussions to ensure an active, positive and inclusive safe space.
  • Respond to feedback and address it promptly while working with the other team members.
  • Organize and host virtual/face to face events to foster community engagement.
  • Post thought-provoking questions and prompts to stimulate discussion and debate within the community.
  • Create quizzes and interactive content to educate and engage users in a fun and informative way.
  • Work with user group facilitators to boost activity in their groups.

• Content creation:
  • Develop and implement a content strategy that includes various media posts and spark user generated content for increased engagements.
  • Conduct and share expert interviews with experts, thought leaders, activists, movement documentaries to highlight impactful activism and publish these as articles, videos or podcasts.
  • Create and distribute regular(weekly/biweekly/monthly) newsletters summarizing key discussions, new resources, and important updates within the community.

Key Deliverables

• A fully developed strategic engagement plan(implemented) with strategies to heighten user engagement and participation highlighting clear timelines, goals and KPIs.
• Increased user participation by 50% on the platform.
• Developed content curated for the platform's audience for engagement and learning.

Qualifications

• Passion for social activism and affinity with social justice movements and causes.
• Active on social media with good engagements. Relevance to social justice issues is desired.
• Working with/connected to Human rights organizations/movements/campaigns/human rights defenders.
• Ability to work independently and remotely, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience and ability to create and curate content(blogs, audiovisuals, graphics etc)
• Experience drafting and(or) implementing engagement plan(s), content plan(s) is desired.
• Must have fluency in written and spoken English
• Tech Savvy
