Janssen Biologics, part of the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, is responsible for the production of essential pharmaceutical products to battle autoimmune diseases and various kinds of cancers. Janssen Biologics is currently recruiting an intern to provide support in project portfolio management and resource management.

who are you

-Enrolled at a Dutch University or University of applied siences is mandatory for the duration of the whole
internship
-Is following a Bachelor’s in Business Administration / Bedrijfskunde
-No previous experience in the pharma industry is necessary, but an interest with BioTechnology and
(pharma) production is appreciated.
-Affinity with IT tools and business intelligence
-Intermediate level in Excel
-Detail-oriented
-Good communication skills
-A customer focused mindset
-Excellent verbal as well as writing communication skills in both Dutch and English.

• Be available for 6 months starting from 15 january 2024.
• 32 hours a week.
• Has the option of spending time on your thesis / internshipassignment at work.
• Can work from home 1-2 days a week.

what will you do

Throughout the year we collect business needs for improvements at our Leiden site. These business needs are collected in so called Need Statements. These Need statements contain information about estimated budget, resources that are needed and project details. You will be helping with entering the information from the Need Statement documents in our project portfolio management tool (Planisware) and keeping that information up to date. Having complete data allows us to share actionable insights with the help of Tableau and PowerBI.
Resource management activities:
To create insights on our current project portfolio it is important that information is complete and up to date. With the help of data quality dashboards and by your own analysis, you will share what actions need to be taken and by whom. If necessary, you can support project managers in updating the project information in the project portfolio management tool.
To maintain an overview of projects that require resources from our department for a certain budget and specific timeline.

To look at ways to improve the annual process of prioritizing projects in our department. The scope of the assignment can range from looking at timelines to which stakeholders need to be informed and when, to which presentation templates to use, to how to reflect these priorities in our project portfolio management tool.
